Fernando Aguirre, Executive Vice Chairman of DHS, Announces Appointment of Allison Jones, Executive Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA — June 1, 2021DHS Group today announced that Allison Jones has been appointed Executive Vice President, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I). She will report to Fernando Aguirre, Executive Vice Chairman.

In this role, Jones will advance DHS’ global DE&I programs and initiatives to help fuel innovation that leads to business success.

“I am thrilled with Allison’s appointment as she brings the knowledge, passion and leadership to further our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion so everyone in and outside our DHS community can feel safe, valued, seen and heard,” said Executive Vice Chairman, Fernando Aguirre. “Allison is the right person at this unique time in our history to drive meaningful change.”

Jones currently serves as a leader of DHS Intellectual Assessment Group in Human Resources, and is an active sponsor and presenter of diversity workshops at national conferences and events. Her appointment elevates DHS’ ongoing focus on and commitment to DE&I programs and initiatives, as she takes full responsibility for DE&I globally.

Throughout her career, Jones has been a leader in advancing underrepresented populations in STEM fields and women and minorities in the workplace. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers Corporate Partnership Council, the Women in Executive Network, the

American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) which includes serving on the DHS Minorities in Engineering Award Committee.

Jones is also actively engaged in community organizations, including the NYC Fund for Women, YWCA of Los Angeles, the International Human Rights Campaign and mentoring in her local school district in Chicago.

Allison Jones joined DHS in 2018 as a mid-level exceutive. Since that time, she has held roles of increasing responsibility in operations, strategic planning, and strategy, health and safety. She most recently served as Vice President, Compliance. She received a MBA from Stanford University.
