Girls Inc. welcomes new CEO

LYNN — Girls Inc. of Boston and Lynn is springing into a new chapter, appointing Natalie Martinez to CEO, Chief Executive Officer.

Assuming the title Monday, Martinez joined the organization from Strong Women Strong Girls, where she served as an advocate for girls’ education and empowerment.

In a press release from Girls Inc., it stated that Martinez brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership with a deep commitment to empower young women and girls.

“We are thrilled to welcome Natalie Martinez as our new CEO. Natalie’s proven leadership and passion for advancing opportunities for girls and young women aligns perfectly with the Girls Inc.’s mission. Her strategic vision and dedication to equity and inclusion will guide us as we continue to empower girls to be strong, smart, and bold,” said Siobhan Kelly, chair of the board of Girls Inc. of Boston and Lynn.

Martinez said she is honored and delighted to be a part of the organization, as its mission resonates with her own deepest values.

“Girls Inc. has a long-standing legacy of empowering girls to break barriers and achieve their full potential. As CEO, I am committed to building upon this legacy and working collaboratively with the Girls Inc. team to create transformative opportunities for girls in Boston, Lynn, and beyond,” Martinez said.

Chair of the Search Committee Melanie Drayton said that throughout the search process, Martinez stood out because of her “unwavering commitment” to the empowerment of girls as well as her “innovative approach” to nonprofit leadership.

“We are confident that Natalie’s leadership will propel Girls Inc. to new heights of impact and effectiveness,” Drayton said.
